Goo.ey is a British brand launched in June 2014 by entrepreneur and art collector, Rachel Verghis. The team collaborate with artists, activists and fashion designers to create limited-edition cases for mobile phones and tablets.

Q. HARDEST LESSON YOU LEARNED IN BUSINESS?

That your lifeline investor is not immune to your stupidity and inexperience. You need to know what you are doing and do so quickly. A lot of people will take advantage of your lack of experience.

Q. THREE THINGS THAT DEFINE YOUR BRAND OR BUSINESS?

I wanted the phone case to be like a personal billboard, to showcase brilliant design led creations and to make a difference – raise money , awareness or both!  I hope Im doing this with Goo.ey

Q. HOW DO YOU APPROACH COLLABORATIONS & WHAT MAKES IT A SUCCESS?

I usually look for a design synergy or connection. We are a very visual company so good design always starts the good conversation. The success varies. Sometimes new interesting design doesn’t translate commercially.

Q. FAVOURITE LOCAL HANGOUT?

My kitchen? Work is 24/7 and its done at home…

Q. WHAT WOMAN INSPIRES YOU?

Really lovely easy going women – I am pretty chilled when not spinning with work emergencies.
