Q. HARDEST LESSON YOU LEARNED IN BUSINESS?
I think I have been fortunate thus far and had a great support and therefore haven’t had a really tough lesson. My biggest obstacle came from an unplanned issue with a French supplier, which was impossible to resolve because of jurisdiction issues, and therefore cost me double to rectify. I learned that it is much better to have relationships with entities within the UK.
Q. THREE THINGS THAT DEFINE YOUR BRAND?
Quality, Effectiveness, Elegance.
Q. WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR WOMEN WITH START UP IDEAS?
I would say to plan, discuss, plan some more, follow your gut and find some strong minded women to mentor you.
Q. FAVOURITE LOCAL HANGOUT?
Q. WHAT WOMAN INSPIRES YOU?
There are so many that truly inspire me in different ways. Estee Lauder for the way she built her business in a time when no women were doing what she was doing. To Natalie Massnet for creating NAP when no one envisioned buying luxury online and breaking that boundary. To Charlotte Tilbury for revolutionizing how women purchase make up and by making it simple to learn how to use make up. And to so many of my own fabulous fierce friends who work so hard, stay positive, and move forward when sometimes the force is not with them-I respect them and I am proud of them.
Q. QUOTE YOU LIVE BY?
I think that everything is possible, its just a matter of finding a way to make it happen. You just have to have perspective.
And I also believe in hard work-love Leonardo Di Vinci’s “it has long since come to my attention that people of accomplishments rarely sat back and let things happen to them. The went out and happened to things.”
