Catherine, wearing Diana, is an architect and mother of two who recently moved back to London from NYC where she lived for 20 years. She is full of kindness, smiles and laughter. We are sad that she is leaving us for Cambridge but wishing her and her family a new chapter there!
FAVOURITE LOCAL HANGOUT?
Wimbledon Common has been such a blessing during quarantine. We have spent so much time exploring as a family and still are amazed to find new unchartered territory!
WHAT CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?
I can’t live without music. We moved from NYC, where we lived for 20 years, last summer and I am so grateful that I can listen to my favorite radio shows over here too. Ayana Heaven’s Across 110th Street on WKCR soothes my soul, as does WBGO a jazz station in NJ. Radio Flip is a great general station and Giles Peterson on BBC Radio 6 and NTS here in London all keep me moving.
DAILY RITUAL?
Be thankful, try not to be grumpy with the kids, try to be creative, try to make a difference and try to have a good time!
WHAT WOMAN INSPIRES YOU?
Cheesy as it may sound, my mother. There isn’t a day that goes by that she isn’t creating. Whether it be writing her latest academic tome or poem for pleasure, doing her ceramic and glass experiments, making dresses and sewn pictures of her vacations or harvesting fruits for jam. She has amazing energy!
