The Lyla Nsouli Foundation for Children’s Brain Cancer was established for Simone’s three year old daughter, Lyla, who lost her 5 month battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gilioma (DIPG) in January 2012. There is no effective treatment for DIPG, a brutal brain cancer which affects only children. Due to the lack of funding, research has been limited and progress has been slow, leaving these children and their families with no hope.
