The weather has turned cold and dark all at once. Despite our very strong desire to stay home under a cashmere throw with a bottle (or 2) of bubbles, sushi and movies, we have school runs, meetings, lunches and countless other mind numbing tasks we’ve blindly scheduled.
In case you’re more clever than us, able to get out of some commitments and sneak in a quality 80s movie or 11, we’ve made a list of the amazing women who were our idols growing up. We wanted to be them! They helped us learn that anything is possible, that no matter how big the set back, we fierce gals can overcome! In no particular order:
- Jennifer Beals – Flashdance – Alex Owens
- Melanie Griffith -Working Girl – Tess McGill
- Diane Keaton -Baby Boom – JC Wiatt
- Shelley Long – Troop Beverly Hills – Phyllis Nefler
- Molly Ringwald – Sixteen Candles – Samantha Baker
- Julia Roberts – Pretty Woman – Vivian Ward
- Jennifer Grey – Dirty Dancing – Baby Houseman
- Mary Stuart Masterson – Some Kind of Wonderful – Watts
- Ione Skye – Say Anything – Diane Court
- Amanda Peterson – Can’t Buy Me Love – Cindy Mancini
- Julia Stiles – 10 Things I Hate About You – Kat Stratford
Enjoy some feel good mindless frills…
You’re welcome!
